Even a small amount of environmental contaminants such as dust particles, airborne bacteria and microbes, other microscopic aerosol particles, and chemical vapours pose a threat to certain manufacturing units and scientific research. So to overcome this difficulty, a fully air-locked and concealed area, termed a cleanroom in technical terms, with a controlled level of contamination must be created.
