Biosafety guidelines are a set of rules & procedures necessary to observe by personnel working in various facilities handling microbiological agents such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, prions, and other related agents and microbiological products.

Generally, biosafety level designations are based on the design features, construction, containment facilities, equipment, practices and operational procedures required for working with agents from the various risk groups.  Bio-safety laboratory facilities are designated as 

* Basic – Biosafety Level 1
* Basic – Biosafety Level 2
* Containment – Biosafety Level 3 
* Maximum containment – Biosafety Level 4

Important Guidelines To Be Followed In All Bio-Safety Laboratories

According to WHO Bio-Safety BSL1-4 & Animal BSL1-4 Guidelines

1) The house should be an independent, detached unit.

2) If it adjoins a laboratory, the design should provide for its isolation from public parts of the laboratory should such need rise, and its decontamination and disinfestations.

3) Complete unit with self-support structure, Security System, Fire System Disinfection Action Air-condition System (Negative Pressure Design), Drain system and Exhaust system, will preassembly and FAT before ship out

4) Site Testing & Commissioning and certify etc,...
